Sync Folder Already Exists

When you uninstall the Sync desktop app, it will remove the program from your computer but it does not delete your files and retains the Sync folder. If you need to reinstall, you will have to rename the Sync folder before reinstallation. Here's how:

1. Locate your Sync folder and right-click then choose Rename.
2. Perform a complete uninstall by running the Sync Uninstaller by clicking here.  For Mac users, click here.
3. When prompted to uninstall, click Yes.
4. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. If you need to download the installer again, go to www.sync.com/install

After installation, Sync will create a new Sync folder where all your files are downloaded from the cloud.
