Some firewall and antivirus programs sometimes block Sync from working properly. Here's how to add Sync as an exception in Kaspersky:
- From the Kaspersky console, click on Settings (gear icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen)
- Go to the Additional tab
- Click on Threats and Exclusions
- Under Threats and Exclusions settings screen, click on Manage exclusions
- Click on Add
- Click Browse to add a new exclusion
- Navigate to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Programs\Sync\sync-taskbar.exe Note: Replace yourusername with your actual Windows username.
- Click on Select
- Click Add
- Repeat steps #6 to #9, this time, navigating to C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Programs\Sync\sync-worker.exe
- On the Exclusions list, confirm you have both sync-taskbar.exe and sync-worker.exe on the list
- Restart Kaspersky and Sync
