Troubleshooting payment decline errors

If your payment attempt is being declined, you may see an error message with a code. Below are the most common reasons for failed transactions and how to resolve them:


Declined: 15005 – This transaction cannot be processed

This message indicates that your credit card issuer is blocking the charge.
What to do: Contact your card provider to authorize the transaction, then try again.


Invalid expiration date: 10562 – This transaction cannot be processed

This occurs when the credit card expiration date entered is incorrect.
What to do: Double-check the expiration year and re-enter it to ensure it’s valid.


Invalid account number: 10535 – This transaction cannot be processed

This means the card number entered is not valid.
What to do: Confirm that the card number and card type were entered correctly, and try again.
