Some firewall and antivirus programs sometimes block Sync from working properly. Here’s how to add Sync as an exception for ESET:
Open your ESET security product to access the main program window.
Press F5 on your keyboard to open Advanced setup.
In the left panel, click Network access protection, expand Firewall, and then click Edit next to Rules.
Click Add to create a new rule.
In the Name field, enter a clear label (e.g. Sync exception).
Expand Action and select Allow to ensure Sync can connect without interruption.
Expand Application and click the three-dots (…) icon.
Locate the Sync application and click Open.
Expand Direction and choose the communication direction you want to allow (typically Both).
Click OK → OK → OK to apply and save the rule.
