How to resolve “request expired” error during password reset

The “Reset password request has expired” message usually appears when the reset link and code don’t match, or when an older reset email/code is used.


How to fix this:

  1. Complete a new password reset request from the password reset page.

  2. In your inbox, open the newest reset email (the most recently received message).
    • If multiple reset emails were received, older messages will no longer work.
  3. Click the link in the newest email, then enter the most recent reset code shown in your web browser.

  4. If the error still appears, repeat the reset process once more and complete it in the same browser and on the same device.

    • For example, avoid requesting the reset on mobile and completing it on desktop.
