--base-path option lets your mounted Sync drive show a custom name in Finder, such as “My Drive”, instead of “127.0.0.1” (macOS)
Sync WebDAV Server 1.2.0 (October 15, 2026)
Improvements
- Faster folder browsing on large accounts
- Automatic retry when the Sync service has a temporary problem
Fixes
- Uninstalling now stops the running server and removes your saved sign-in and WebDAV password (macOS, Linux)
- Documents saved from LibreOffice over a davfs2 mount no longer disappear from your account until the file is closed (Linux)
- A failed headless sign-in now shows a clear error message instead of crashing
- The server no longer quits when a client connects with a malformed address
Sync WebDAV Server 1.1.0 (October 1, 2026)
Improvements
- WebDAV connections now require a password, generated automatically for you
- The server only accepts connections from your own computer by default; other devices on your network can be allowed when needed
- Updates now install automatically at startup; turn this off with
sync-webdav update --auto off - Faster uploads, especially when copying many small files or large files
- The headless sign-in page now shows a Copy token button instead of an Open terminal button
Fixes
- Improved protection for your mounted folder when using
--mount, so it can’t be removed by deleting the top-level folder - Downloads no longer fail or return empty files after deleting a file (macOS)
- Renaming a folder no longer takes over a minute
- Creating a folder inside a read-only shared folder now returns a permission error instead of a server error
- Changes made while your account is busy processing other changes are retried instead of failing
