FAQs

How can I get my Sync folder onto an unsupported Operating System (OS)?

  • Run your unsupported OS inside a Virtual Machine (VM).
  • Install the 2.2.x latest Sync desktop app on the host machine (the host machine should be running a modern OS).
  • Share the Sync folder from the host machine to the VM.

Note: The Sync support team is not able to assist with troubleshooting or configuration issues within virtual environments since it is not an officially supported setup.

  • Sign in to the web panel.
  • Click Settings from the left navigation bar.
  • Click the Devices tab.
  • Any desktop app running version 1.x, 2.0.x, or 2.1.x need to be updated.
